Align and Mate tools support face-based assembly placement

Published on

Use Sawdust's alignment tools to bring parts and groups into geometric contact.

Sawdust’s Align and Mate tools position parts using selected geometric contacts. You can bring the intended faces together and adjust the anchor or spin when the joint needs a different alignment.

Group alignment moves an existing subassembly as a unit while preserving the relationships among its parts. Inspect the contact from another view after mating, especially when the selected faces are partly hidden.
