Ready plans you can size in a sentence, and relative resizing in chat
Published on
Ask Dusty for eleven families of ready plans sized to your measurements, then resize builds or extend individual boards until they touch a post.
Dusty now builds eleven families of ready plans from a single sentence, and once a project is on your workbench you can resize the whole build or stretch an individual board until it meets another part.

Eleven ready plan families
- Gable and lean-to sheds up to 20 feet long, framed on skids with floor joists, plywood subfloor, wall studs, rafters, and a doorway on the long or gable wall.
- Dining, coffee, side, and console tables at standard heights, or with a live edge slab top.
- Freestanding shelving units that pick a sensible shelf count from the height you ask for.
- Shop workbenches with a lower shelf and either a plywood sheet top or a plank top.
- Plywood bookcases, cubbies, wardrobes with hanging rods, and media consoles with cable cutouts.
- Benches and picnic tables sized by length or by how many people they seat (a 6-person picnic table, a 2-person garden bench).
- Step stools and counter-height kitchen learning towers with guard rails.
- Open-slat pergolas and roofed outdoor shelters.
- Deck stairs and guard railings that attach directly to a deck in your scene and read its height and footprint.
- A-frame swing sets with one to three swings, optional play platform, guardrails, and ladder.
- Platform beds from a 24x36-inch dog bed up to a king.

Make it 25 cm wider, or extend a board until it touches
After Dusty builds a plan, you can ask for relative changes like "Make it 25 cm wider" or "Make it 6 inches taller" and Dusty rebuilds the plan at the new size, reporting both the old and new dimensions in your project's units. You can also start in any language from your very first message.
For individual boards, asking to "Extend the shelf until it touches the post" or "Lengthen the cheek to meet the stringer" no longer just slides the board across the gap: Sawdust lengthens the crosscut or widens the rip (and picks longer or wider stock if needed) so the board spans the full distance.
