Sawdust can now generate assembly and tour videos without AI
Published on
Create a Build Guide or Build Tour from your Sawdust project, then edit the camera shots, narration, and timeline.
Sawdust can now compose a film from the operations in a saved project without burning a single token. The Build Guide option produces a fabrication and assembly walkthrough, while Build Tour introduces the completed design. Each draft includes a timeline you or an agent can review and edit.
A project can hold multiple films, so creating a short tour does not replace an existing assembly guide. Review the composition notes and watch the full draft before exporting it or including it in your build guides. You can adjust the shots and narration yourself, or share feedback with your agent. Pre-filling the film template with decent defaults using the project op list gives your agent a solid starting point. In our own testing we've found it much quicker than prompting agent without a starting script.
On the publish tab, choose Video. You will be prompted to choose a template.
