Hermes Agent (v0.7.0 and newer) supports remote HTTP MCP servers with OAuth 2.1 dynamic client registration and PKCE. You can register Sawdust from the terminal or in ~/.hermes/config.yaml.

1. Register Sawdust in Hermes Agent

Run the following command in your terminal:

hermes mcp add sawdust https://sawdust.diy/mcp --auth oauth

Or add the server under mcp_servers in ~/.hermes/config.yaml:

mcp_servers:
  sawdust:
    url: "https://sawdust.diy/mcp"
    auth: oauth

2. Approve access in your browser

When Hermes connects to Sawdust (or when you run hermes mcp test sawdust), it opens your browser to Sawdust's consent screen. Sign in if needed and click Approve.
